We spent Thanksgiving with a friend in Port Charlotte. While we were there we went to Bocca Grande. I love to explore new places with my camera in hand. I had took these outside the lighthouse and lightkeepers house. The light house has been decommissioned and now houses a museum. Inspired by the white buildings I decide to use the black and white settings on my camera.
For this one I was standing under the flag pole leaning backwards to catch the shot. The wind caught be and blew me a little off balance. Fortunately the shot came out on the first try.

Look for more shots of Bocca Grande in My World Tuesday and next weeks’s Sky Watch.
Check out The Sky Watch Blog.

I think you choice of black and white was a good one. It makes it all so vivid.

Black and white does convey a different mood than colour. Very nicely done.
