Maddie Mae

Hi, its me Maddie Mae again.

So today on The Riot they said it is International and National Dog Day. How cool is that?

There is a special day for dogs NOT goats. Dee says I should check on the Google thing to see if there is a goat day. Why? Why would anyone want to celebrate zombie goats? I’ve never heard of a goat day, that is silly.

So you may be asking how to celebrate National and International Dog day. I have some ideas.

  1. Give your dog lots of chicken-bacon, steak and turkey jerky.
  2. Take your dog for a walk
  3. Eat bacon.
  4. Go for a drive with your pup.
  5. Take your pup to the meat store for jerky treats and of course chicken-bacon.

So until next time. Peace out Maddie Mae

  1. Maddie Mae, I have never heard of National Zombie Goat day, either! I don’t think that Zombie goats are as special as you are! I am glad that there is National Dog day. We did take our dog, Lillie for a ride in our van. She jumps all over with excitement, then runs to the door when we ask her if she wants to go for a ride. We also gave her jerky treats. She loves them as much as you do! We have never given her chicken bacon, because we have never seen it in our store. And, sadly Lillie has never had any steak because we don’t ever buy it for our family. If we ever do grill some steaks, we will be sure to give her a taste, because she always comes to the table and begs for people food every time we eat.

Be sure to take care of Grandma and Dee and the Big Guy. That is a great job for you to do.

Give Grandma a big doggie kiss from me!

Also, tell her that I have always been grateful that she gave me copies of the Civil War letters written by my great great grandpa’s niece, Patience Crain Black. Your grandma photocopied them on purple paper so I could type them into the computer.

I read about when my great grandpa was bitten by a snake when he was 7 years old! That is scarier to me than Zombie Goats!

The letters also told wonderful stories about my great great grandparents and my aunts and uncles and cousins and what they did during the Civil War. It is so special that I was able to learn more about my 3rd great grandma! I grew to love and appreciate her even more because of the letters. When I was able to go visit her grave in Texas two years ago, I put a red rose on her grave to let her know I love her a lot.

Have a great rest of the year and I hope the Zombie Goats don’t get you!
