The one of one of our trees yesterday. Tree with new bloomsThe second picture I took today. It is amazing the amount of growth that happened in one day. Life is like my tree. There are times when things seem hopeless, overwhelming and dark. In the midst of whatever struggle life throws at you it is easy to feel things will never improve.

Yesterday, the buds on my tree were a promise of new life and growth after a bleak colorless winter. Suddenly today the tree is full of life. It is a reminder that there hope and this season will pass.

… that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:16-19 ESV

  1. Dee, your posts always touch my heart and are so well-written. I admire you as much as I love and admire your wonderful mother. I wish I had been able to meet you when your mom took me to ancestor sites and graveyards in Texas. She shared so much with me and taught me so much. Even though I didn’t ever get to meet your father, we corresponded through email once in a while. What great examples you all are. I am sure your husband is just as wonderful as all of you.
