Recently there as been a lot of news coverage about Nadya Suleman aka the “Octomom”. What is her motivation? Why keep having so many kid when she can barely support the ones she has? One interviewer addressed those questions. Her response was essentially that she was trying to fill a void in her life. Apparently she saved everything she had to be able to afford her first child and that didn’t fill her need to be loved and wanted. So, she kept having kids. She was looking for something but couldn’t find it.
What was she looking for? Love? Purpose? Significance? As humans we often look to fill those needs everywhere except the only source that will truly satisfy us. I see this issue as ultimately a spiritual one. As humans we were created to have a relationship with our Creator. The author of Ps 42 describes this need with a deer’s need for water. Our need for a relationship with God is that basic. The witter of Ecclesiastes begins with the premise that all of the things in life are meaningless. Ecclesiastes concludes with this assertion: “Everything you were taught can be put into a few words: Respect and obey God! This is what life is all about.” (Ecclesiastes 12:13 CEV)
The March 1, Dee Zone is outstanding. Thanks…….Bill S.

Yes. Of course, it sounds like she has some other issues as well.

Let me try this again, since IE told me you had a site error last time I tried to comment on this one …..
I think she is mentally unbalanced and seeking fame, not the love of many children. The Angelina Jolie makeover cements that opinion.
She should have been careful what she asked for, because she definitely got it (but not in the way she planned).
