Sector 1 S: On Duty & On Guard

Dee tried to write this blog post for me, but as Captain of the Bark Patrol in Sector 1 S, I am officially taking over today!
You might remember my legal name is Leonidas, King of Sparta, but around the house I go by Leo. My nicknames are The Redneck Poodle, The Beast, Bubbabear, and Licky Pup. I am a standard poodle with phantom coloring—shades of gray, purple, black, and white when my hair grows out. I like my hair kept short because it makes getting the burrs out so much easier after a hard day’s work in the yard!
Dee and TBG think they are running things, but I am the undisputed leader of the pack around here. I keep the neighborhood safe from the window, making sure the perimeter stays secure from squirrels, suspicious leaves, and anyone walking by who isn’t holding a snack for me.
When I am not keeping Sector 1 S safe from the living room, you can usually find me:
- Chilling in one of my recliners or on my favorite quilt.
- Riding buckled up in the car with my cousin Jorgi.
- Watching Aggies or Cowboys football with TBG.
- Watching the Texas Rangers baseball or Hardin-Simmons football with Dee.
- Trying to convince someone to drop a Cheeto, carrot, or piece of steak near my window.
I’m supposed to tell you more about my daily duties and security sweeps, but—
