“The Lord is good to all, and his mercy is over all that he has made.” — Psalm 145:9 (ESV)
God’s goodness surrounds everyday life. He is a gracious and loving Father who desires for us to experience an abundant life—not merely one that is “okay” or “good”. Frequently, we settle for a lesser existence because we fail to ask Him for more or remain unwilling to admit our profound need for His intervention.
God offers a life defined by His grace and mercy to everyone who seeks it. However, we must approach Him with humility and acknowledge our dependence. When we cry out, He hears us; He reaches out to transform us into entirely new creations.
Unfortunately, our own internal struggles often prevent us from stepping fully into this goodness. For me, one of the greatest challenges is moving past my own “mess” to accept His mercy. A persistent feeling of unworthiness can often cloud the reality of His love.
The truth remains that God’s goodness is present even in difficult times or moments of failure. He has provided for me consistently, placing people in my life who enrich and bless me daily. He is faithful in providing even the simplest necessities, proving that His grace is always within reach.
I love You, Lord
Oh, Your mercy never failed me
And all my days, I've been held in Your hands
From the moment that I wake up
Until I lay my head
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God
All my life You have been faithful
All my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God
I love Your voice
You have led me through the fire
In darkest night You are close like no other
I've known You as a Father
I've known You as a Friend
Oh, I have lived in the goodness of God, oh-oh-oh
And all my life You have been faithful
All my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God
Yeah, yeah, yeah
So good
Your goodness is running after, it's running after me
Your goodness is running after, it's running after me
With my life laid down, I'm surrendered now
I give You everything
'Cause Your goodness is running after, it's running after me
Your goodness is running after, it's running after me
Your goodness is running after, it's running after me
With my life laid down, I'm surrendered now
I give You everything
'Cause Your goodness is running, it keeps running after me
All my life You have been faithful
All my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God
Yeah-yeah, yeah
You lead me and guide me, God
Faithful Father, floods my soul
Oh, and You are my anchor in the wind and the waves
You are my provider, oh, yeah
And You lead me and guide me by Your Spirit
And Your Word I have never walked alone
My joy, my joy, every day
Oh, Shepherd of my soul, oh
What a joy to know You
Oh, the joy of knowing you, God
You're everything to me
So wonderful, in all your ways, hey
All your ways
Amen
