Last Sunday was just one of those mornings. It seems that sometimes it is twice as hard for me to get going on Sunday than on a work day. I was running late. I work on the Audio/Visual team at church and arrived after rehearsal has started. Then we had some issues with technology last week.
As I was driving home Matt Redman‘s The Heart of Worship was on the radio. That was the reminder I needed. All of the stuff we call worship really doesn’t matter because worship is or at least should be about Jesus.
When the music fades
And all is stripped away
And I simply come
Longing just to bring
Something that’s of worth
That will bless your heartI’ll bring You more than a song
For a song in itself
Is not what You have required
You search much deeper within
Through the ways things appear
You’re looking into my heartI’m coming back to the heart of worship
And it’s all about You
All about You, Jesus
I’m sorry Lord for the thing I’ve made it
When it’s all about You
It’s all about You JesusKing of endless worth
No one could express
How much You deserve
Though I’m weak and poor
All I have is Yours
Every single breathI’ll bring You more than just a song
For a song in itself
Is not what You have required
You search much deeper within
Through the way things appear
You’re looking into my heartI’m coming back to the heart of worship
And it’s all about You
All about You, Jesus
I’m sorry Lord for the thing I’ve made it
When it’s all about You
It’s all about You JesusIts all about you
Jesus
