Last week I was busy working on my laptop when I got that annoying low battery message. I thought I had plugged the thing in. Well I checked the back of the computer and it was connected. Checked the cord and both parts were connected. Upon further investigation I discovered that the plug was sitting on top of the power strip but not actually plugged in as a result the batteries were drained and not recharging.

I was reminded at how the Christian walk is like that. It is easy to surround one’s self with Bible, Christian books & music, Christian friends, and even church without really being plugged in. Unless I take the time to personally dig into the Word just like my laptop my batteries will run out.

105 Your word is a lamp for my feet,
a light on my path. (Psalm 119:105, New International Version)
