For Day 5 of the Thankful Challenge, I’m reflecting on God's incredible protection. When I was in first grade, I accidentally impaled my right eye on a tree limb. Doctors said that if I had jerked my head back like children normally do, I would have lost my eye entirely—and they predicted I would lose my vision completely by high school. I graduated in the 1980s, and by His grace, I still have my sight today.
