Wow! I’ve almost completed an entire month of Inktober. As of today, I have doubled my 2nd-best year.
So my inspiration today is the tradition of leaving cookies & milk for Santa. Even I left a plate of cookies for Santa, and we didn’t really do Santa. Part of the reason was that, for many years, my dad played Santa for the radio and/or TV station where he worked. He usually just read the letters to Santa on the radio, but he sometimes did remotes that required him to wear an actual Santa suit. One TV station where he worked had some sort of story time with Santa where he dressed in a Santa suit and read Christmas stories to a group of children. I think it was just the employees kids not sure I was a preschooler.
The cookies, starting from the top and going clockwise: sugar, lemon, peanut butter, and, of course, chocolate chip.
Just one more day of Inktober and I have a plan.
