Glen Rose, Texas
The statue in the foreground Barnard’s of the Brazos pays homage to Charles and Juana Barnard, founding patriarchs of Glen Rose. The bronze was sculpted by well-known local artist, Robert Summers.

Love the structure. Thank you for stopping by Driller’s Place. And yes, Big Cedar Lodge is in the heart of the Ozarks, about 7 miles south of Branson, MO. This next week should really see the leaves changing for a spectacular fall color display.

I like the contrast between the statues and the building – I may have tried an even lower point of view – but thats just me!

I love stately old public buildings and am sorry they don’t build them like that any more! Nice to have your history portrayed by a local sculptor!
