I had intended to post something yesterday for the 30 Days of Gratitude Challenge. Between work, life, and the Texas Rangers – who, by the way, won the World Series – I was a little distracted.

Day 1: What are you thankful for today?

The easy answer is the Texas Rangers winning the World Series. As a native of Ft. Worth, I am a lifelong Rangers fan. I have so many memories, especially in the summer, involving the Rangers. I can vividly recall listening to the games on the radio with my Granddaddy when I was little. He loved baseball and even played for Baylor. I also remember all those times when I was supposed to be sleeping, but I was secretly listening to the games on the radio in my room. And let’s not forget watching as many games as possible on channel 11. Another wonderful aspect of Ranger games is spending time with family and friends while watching the games.

Day 2: Who are you thankful for today?

Today, I want to express my gratitude for The Big Guy. He has put up with all of my crazy antics for 26 years, and next month, we will celebrate our 25th anniversary. This adventure we’ve been on together hasn’t always turned out as we originally planned. We’ve faced unexpected challenges and embarked on adventures we never could have predicted, but through it all, we’ve been blessed in countless ways.

The journey we’ve shared has been filled with ups and downs, and I’m so thankful for the love, support, and companionship he’s provided every step of the way. Thank you for doing life with me, Babe. Your unwavering presence and love mean more to me than words can express.

What's on your mind?
