Today’s challenge is to photograph myself and 13 things. I decided to find 13 things that would tell “my story”.

Myself + 13 things

Starting from the left hand corner.

#1-2: A 1995 AL West Champs (red cap) when the Texas Rangers won their first division championship. That was an amazing season for a lifetime Rangers fan.  The blue cap is the 2010 a Rangers AL Division Champ cap. Even though they didn’t win the World Series it is the best Ranger season so far.

#3: A CD from my favorite band, Third Day.

#4: My Big Fat Greek Wedding, one of my favorite movies.

#5: My laptop (in the center)

#6: A memento from my college days at Hardin-Simmons. Located in Abilene, TX HSU proudly embraces its western heritage. The memento is a piece of old wood branded with school brand.  I even got to do it myself.

#7: A metal cover English Standard Version Bible. I like to carry a Bible with me in my purse, backpack or laptop case and the Big Guy tried to find one that would not get beaten up. Well, as you can see there a few dints in the case.

#8: A plate from the set of dishes I made, featuring the Blue Bonnet.

#9: I enjoy cooking and learned to cook from a Better Homes and Gardens Cookbook.

#10: A collection of poems by my favorite poet Emily Dickinson.

#11: A book by one of my favorite authors, Bodie Theone.

#12: My favorite book as a child, Alfred the Pony Who Couldn’t Say Neigh.

#13: My favorite pair of flip-flops.

Me: I’m more comfortable behind the camera than in front of it. So I tired to get in the picture without really being in it. If you notice I’m a little off-center in the photo. Some days I’m just like that.
