OK, maybe not real kingdom but Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World (Florida not California) is a one of my favorite parts of WDW. While Animal Kingdom appears smaller than the other parks it is actually the largest. Much of Animal Kingdom is used for the Safari. Animal Kingdom is also the newest of the 4 main parks at Walt Disney World Florida.

One of the neat things that Disney does at Animal Kingdom and EPCOT is that they hire people entertainers, chefs and other employees from around the world. The performers in the Africa section of Animal Kingdom are actually from Africa.

Each of parks at Walt Disney World has a focal point or icon at Animal Kingdom it is the Tree of Life.

No day at Disney would be complete without a parade.

Your photos are excellent and very interesting, especially the tree of life is beautiful. Thank you for visiting my blog on Karunda Scenic Railway. We were there on holiday. I am Dutch and live in Holland, which is BTW also a kingdom and our Queen is Queen Beatrix, but I am sure you knew that already. Although I sometimes meet foreigners who don’t know that we have a queen.

I am probably the only person left in the Western hemisphere who has not visited Walt Disney World.
As soon as my grandsons get a little older we are going to take a family trip there.
Great photos of the KINGDOM.

BearNaked: I hadn’t been there until we moved here. Look for my top 10 Disney Tips.
If you go get an entire package through WDW including meal tickets, tickets and lodging. Get multi-park hoppers. If you stay on property they will even pick you up at the airport. You won’t need a rental.

We have been to the 4 main parks not the water parks. We had FL resident seasonal passes a couple of years.

I’ve been to Disneyland, Florida – is that a Disney World resort? I remember the Animal Kingdom. It wasn’t my kids’ favourite part, but I did enjoy the safari boat ride! Great fun!
We missed the tree of life, though. Thanks for adding that! The performer looks fun, too. Didn’t see him either, but maybe they change them round a lot.
Thanks for a nostalgic post! My kids are all grown up now … of course, that’s not to say they’d refuse another trip!

Jay,
Disneyland is in California. Walt Disney in Florida is a huge resort. The 4 main parks are Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios (MGM), and Animal. There are also 2 water parks and a mini-golf place along with many hotels. Animal Kingdom is the newest of the parks. I believe it is less than 10 years old.
The Tree of Life of is in the center of the park and the focal point of the park.

I’ve taken my kids to Disney World but they didn’t think they’d like Animal Kingdom. Animal lover that I am, that’s the only part of Disney World I want to go to. Guess I’ll have to wait until they’re all out of the house!

Denise,
Disneyland is cool too but these Animal Kingdom is a part of Walt Disney World in Florida.
Barry,
Most of our friends prefer the other parks so I haven’t been to Animal Kingdom that much.

That looks like a very amazing place to visit. I am always amazed how Disney makes their props like that tree, it looks so real but when you look at it more closely it’s not. Nice photo’s.
Please do visit my K for the week which is Karma. Happy weekend!

Those pictures are great. What Ilove about amusement parks are the parades simply because they bring back my childhood memories, plus it is so colorful, and colorful means happy.
