One my favorite things in Gainesville, FL is the Butterfly Rainforest at the Florida Museum of Natural History. These pictures were taken on a visit in December.
In the winter it is too cold for the butterflies to move. During the butterfly release they are placed on the tree.

I have not seen that specie on the last shot. Love its colors! I would enjoy going to the butterfly pavilion.
