Recently I discovered Fiction Family.  Jon Foreman of Switchfoot and Sean Watkins of Nickel Creek have teamed as Fiction Family.  It is an interesting pairing. Switchfoot is an alternative rock band and Nickel Creek is a Bluegrass inspired progressive acoustic trio.  Both Foreman are strong vocalist and play many instruments. Foreman has quite a different sound on this project than Switchfoot. Foreman and Watkins play a variety of instruments on their debut project including: guitar, bass, keyboards, percussion, baritone ukulele, piano, organ, mandolin, steel guitar, 12-string guitar.

  1. When I heard about the project a few months ago, i was intrigued when I heard the Nickel Creek connection. I listened to the album a few times when it came out, but the track I keep coming back to is “Elements Combined”
