I was privileged to grow up with Grandparents as well as my great-granddad. Granddad Rowland had 9 children and many grandchildren (and great-grandchildren) but he had the ability to make each one feel special.  I enjoyed “helping” granddad in his fix-it shop. Sometimes Granddad would take me along when he was the guest preacher at churches.  I enjoyed getting spend time with my Granddad.  Other posts about Granddad: ABC Wednesday: Q is for Quilt and Funny Preacher Stories.

  1. Thanks for sharing, Dee. This reminded me of good memories of my own grandfather. I love the last picture of your grandfather in this post.

  2. FoodieJenn: Thank you. My Granddad was a Godly man.

Earthlingorgeous: I was blessed to have known 3 grandparents and 2 great-grandparents. Granddad was actually my great-granddad.

Quinn: TY, Are you familiar with the song for FFB by Michael Card? That song reminds me of Granddad. Yes, I like that last candid shot.
