For the past several weeks I have been featuring Abilene, Texas in My World Tuesday. Abilene is where I spent my college days at Hardin-Simmons University. An important part of my life during that period was my church Elmcrest Baptist Church. Took these photos from the street side of the building. I guess it is the front because it the entry to the parking lot but the buildings open on the other side and most of the parking is toward the back of the lot.

What a unique looking church, thanks for sharing with us.
Have a great week!

Such a minimalist design for the church.
To answer your question on my blog: hopefully, we have no gang in France. tags are made by “street artists”.
Our country is quite safe, even if I wouldn’t be sneaking around some areas during the night.
Have a good week !

Guy, Jenn: The church was probably built in the 1960’s or 70’s and is similar to churches built in that time period.
Shaker: There is a nice glass on the inside and I couldn’t get a good shot of the other side of the church. The graffiti (words) in your pictures looked a lot like gang tags. Glad there are no gangs.
Louise: The sky is very pretty out there.

I’ve never believe the saying “you can never go back” … because you can, it’s always there for you, waiting.

Yes but it isn’t the same. Of course, it is now 1/2 across the country from where I now live.
