Today’s selection features Joy to the World performed  by Moya Brennan. Brennan has been called the “first lady” of Celtic music. Brennan along with several family members formed the band Clannad in the 1970’s. At one time her sister Enya preformed with the band.  Brennan has released her first solo album in 1982 and has a successful solo career.

  1. A truly beautiful rendition of a beautiful carol. The video was filmed by Moya’s husband, Tim Jarvis, and the wooded scenes were shot in the Wicklow Mountains, south of Dublin. (quietly noticing a typo…Moya’s first solo album “Maire” was released in 1992 🙂 Yes, I do love the music by the Brennan clan — Clannad, Enya & Moya. 🙂
