For many years I have had a goal of visiting all 50 states and the District of Colombia. Today I decided to track my progress. To qualify as a visit I must have actually been in the state and just being in the airport or runway doesn’t count. In case you are wondering there are many places outside the US I would like to visit as well but that is for another day.

  1. Alabama
  2. Arizona
  3. Arkansas
  4. California
  5. Colorado
  6. Delaware
  7. District of Columbia
  8. Florida
  9. Georgia
  10. Illinois
  11. Iowa
  12. Kansas
  13. Louisiana
  14. Maryland
  15. Mississippi
  16. Missouri
  17. New Jersey
  18. New Mexico
  19. North Carolina
  20. Oklahoma
  21. Pennsylvania
  22. South Carolina
  23. Tennessee
  24. Texas
  25. Virginia
  26. Washington

Well, the total is 26 which is a little more than half way through the list.

  1. Since I’m a Texan I will exclude Texas from my answer. Well, for most of my life that would be Oklahoma because Grandma lived there. I really enjoyed Washington. It is very pretty. Arizona would have been better if I had been able to stop and play at all the cool golf courses we saw. St. Louis is one of my favorite places. It is a very cool city. We are planning another trip to Tennessee and going to Georgia this week. I have enjoyed most of the places I’ve visited. The people in Virginia were very nice. I wish we had had more time in Pennsylvania and D.C. We only had a few hours at Gettysburg & I could have stayed there for a couple of days. New Jersey was probably the most surprising. We have only been in S. Jersey: Trenton, Princeton, the Jersey shore, and Cherry Hill. It is a very pretty area.

Colorado was very disappointing. It doesn’t live up to the hype. Really haven’t enjoyed any of our trips through Louisiana.

Ok, it is your turn. I would love to see the states or other places you have been.
