For many years I have had a goal of visiting all 50 states and the District of Colombia. Today I decided to track my progress. To qualify as a visit I must have actually been in the state and just being in the airport or runway doesn’t count. In case you are wondering there are many places outside the US I would like to visit as well but that is for another day.
- Alabama
- Arizona
- Arkansas
- California
- Colorado
- Delaware
- District of Columbia
- Florida
- Georgia
- Illinois
- Iowa
- Kansas
- Louisiana
- Maryland
- Mississippi
- Missouri
- New Jersey
- New Mexico
- North Carolina
- Oklahoma
- Pennsylvania
- South Carolina
- Tennessee
- Texas
- Virginia
- Washington
Well, the total is 26 which is a little more than half way through the list.
Which state was your favorite to visit?

Since I’m a Texan I will exclude Texas from my answer. Well, for most of my life that would be Oklahoma because Grandma lived there. I really enjoyed Washington. It is very pretty. Arizona would have been better if I had been able to stop and play at all the cool golf courses we saw. St. Louis is one of my favorite places. It is a very cool city. We are planning another trip to Tennessee and going to Georgia this week. I have enjoyed most of the places I’ve visited. The people in Virginia were very nice. I wish we had had more time in Pennsylvania and D.C. We only had a few hours at Gettysburg & I could have stayed there for a couple of days. New Jersey was probably the most surprising. We have only been in S. Jersey: Trenton, Princeton, the Jersey shore, and Cherry Hill. It is a very pretty area.
Colorado was very disappointing. It doesn’t live up to the hype. Really haven’t enjoyed any of our trips through Louisiana.
Ok, it is your turn. I would love to see the states or other places you have been.
