I found this interesting quiz last week about Theological Worldview. Not sure about its accruacy but the results are very interesting. The first result was a little surprising since I really don’t think I have been influenced that much by Wesley’s teaching. That may in part be due to being a virtue ethicist.

You Scored as Evangelical Holiness/Wesleyan You are an evangelical in the Wesleyan tradition. You believe that God’s grace enables you to choose to believe in him, even though you yourself are totally depraved. The gift of the Holy Spirit gives you assurance of your salvation, and he also enables you to live the life of obedience to which God has called us. You are influenced heavily by John Wesley and the Methodists.

Ha, no surprises here, although I was expecting a higher score on Roman Catholic:
You Scored as Emergent/PostmodernYou are Emergent/Postmodern in your theology. You feel alienated from older forms of church, you don’t think they connect to modern culture very well. No one knows the whole truth about God, and we have much to learn from each other, and so learning takes place in dialogue. Evangelism should take place in relationships rather than through crusades and altar-calls. People are interested in spirituality and want to ask questions, so the church should help them to do this.

Sarah,
On thing about Emergent/Post modern many Emergent Post/Moderns to have returned to some of ancient Christian traditions and read the Church Fathers.

Yes, I know. That’s part of what drew me to the movement originally.

I took this quiz a while back and I think I came out pretty much like you did…
I remember being stumped on several of the questions, though…

I wasn’t stumped on the questions that much but I do have a theology degree. I did find some of the results perplexing.
