By now you’ve heard that congress has once again failed to solve the budget crises. When I saw the president’s response on the evening news I was literally yelling at the TV. The Big Guy found the entire thing amusing.  He suggested it would make a good blog piece.   After watching this I’m sure you’ll understand why I was yelling at the TV.

Did you figure out what caused me to yell at the TV? No it wasn’t congress’ lack of action. Or even the President’s dictator remark. It was this comment:

“I’m presenting a fair deal. The fact that they don’t take it means that I should somehow do a ‘Jedi mind-meld’ with these folks and convince them to do what’s right,”  — President Barack Obama

It was apparent that President Obama doesn’t know the difference between Jedi and Vulcans.  It is a Jedi Mind Trick or a Vulcan Mind Meld. I’m disappointed that a self-proclaimed movie buff like Obama was unable to distinguish between Star Wars and Star Trek.
