Taco Seasoning

Had a request for the taco seasoning  I mentioned in my guacamole recipe.  This is a staple in our house. I keep a jar of this in the cabinet.

Note: All measurements are relative.

  • paprika
  • cumin
  • black pepper
  • chili powder
  • cayenne and/or chipolte
  • oregano
  1. Paprika is the base for the mix. I start with 4 T.
  2. Next add 2 T or about 1/2 the amount of paprika of cumin and chili.
  3. Add 1 T oregano and black pepper
  4.  1/4 T of cayenne or chipolte. For a spicier version add more hot pepper. The ratio of hot pepper should be less than /4 of the amount of paprika.
