Sailing Catamaran Sirius

View through the sails.

My favorite thing we did on our trip to the Florida Keys was to take a sunset cruise on the Sirius. The Sirius is operated by Ocean Sailing, Inc and skippered by Captain Dale Kamerzel (owner/operator).

Beautiful

The Sirius is a 36 foot, Coast Guard inspected wind-powered catamaran.  The Sirius sails nightly from the the Marathon Marina. It is located near the back of Lazy Days Restaurant.  The cruise lasts for about 2 hrs. Departure times depend upon the season. Calling ahead for reservations is a good idea. They sail most nights.

Amazing view

Amazing View

I’ve taken other sightseeing cruises but this was the best by far. The Kamerzel’s love for sailing was obvious. They really care about what they do, their island and customers.  The cost was $36 per person and included beverages.  It was a very relaxing cruise and a great value as well.
