Sky Watch Friday: My Latest Project

Several years ago I made a multi-dimensional painting of an owl on glass for a friend. The Big Guy has been asking me to make one for him. This past week I finally got it painted. The Big Guy wanted me to paint the light house in St. Augustine, Fl.
The painting is on 2 layers of glass. The backside of the bottom piece of glass has the sky & basic form of the light. The top side of the bottom glass has black stripes and some light details. The bottom side of the middle glass has the trees. The top side of the middle glass has the details for the trees and top outlines for the light.
Painted on 2 layers of glass. Each layer has a different element of the painting.
I love lighthouses! Nice photo!
So does the Big Guy. As I was hanging the picture I noticed he has almost an entire wall of pictures of the St. Augustine Light.
