Stick with The Issues, Please

Unless you have been hiding under a rock you have heard that John McCain has chosen Sara Palin, Governor of Alaska as his running mate. If you are like me this move may seem surprising, simply because I really hadn’t heard of her before.  What is even more surprising are some of the rumors and accusations that have come out especially on the blogosphere.

Especially troubling are the ones about Palin’s oldest daughter.  Some of the rumors are just outright bizarre.  Others are unfair. Some rumors attack Palin’s parenting skills. Palin has a teenage daughter that doesn’t always make wise decisions. Is that really uncommon teenagers to act first and think later if at all. If I knew half of what I thought I knew as a teen I could solve the engery crises and a few more big problems.

Of course, the Democrats are not imune to rumors either. I’m sure you have seen the numoruous emails and YouTobe videos attacking Obama as well. I have recieved countless emails suggesting that Obama is really part of some sort of Islamic extremist plot to take over the U.S.

Our country is face some serious problems right now. Instead of slugging mud we should be focusing on the issues that matter.  Like what plans do the candidates have for resolving the endless war that our country is entangled in or turning around the economy.

So please pay attention to the real issues. Research the candidates and their positions on the issues that matter to you. Of course, in November vote.

Thanks for sharing this…I agree completely

  2. I agree with you. Not only in USA, but everywhere, the politicians throw mud to each other and they ignore the citizen’s problems.

Ug…no kidding. So sick of hearing all the crap.

While the candidates for the office of President and Vice-President may formulate plans for reformation., they cannot make that change happen without Congress.

Currently we have a DO NOTHING Congress which has chosen to block all change.

Nevertheless, our troops in Iraq are have succeeded in producing many positive changes there. News media does not report the progress.

I’m not too pleased with Congress either.

Does American public really care about ‘issues’ though? I find it more obsessesed with ‘relating’ to the candidates …. dunno how it matters tho.

I know lots of people who are interested in the issues.

What's on your mind?
