Taken on a windy summer day. The wind that weekend was between 45-60 mph sustained wind. There was some rain but no real storm.
Mesquite and Shomack trees blowing in the wind. The Mesquites are little bigger than shrubs and have little wind resistance.

Randi: It can go months without rain. The picture was taken during tornado season. In the spring time it does rain and there may be tornados most do little damage. We also get hail and sometimes it is very bad. In the winter we might get a little snow usually “winter mix”. Winter mix is a slushy frozen rain/ice thing. The day the picture was taken it was just rain.

I love the lighting and the mood of the first picture. The clouds look full of their own agenda, and it makes a lovely light on the grass and building.

Nice pics. So are you in line for Hurricane Ike? That’s one nice thing about Minnesota. No hurricanes. The bad thing. Cold weather. We’ve already had lows in the upper 30’s. have a good week.

Rev. Josh,
No, this was taken in a central Texas far from the coast. Currently, I live in Florida, TS Fay did pass our way. Yeah, I’m not a fan of cold weather either.
